On September 25, 2012, letters were mailed to applicants who applied between November 1, 2011 and February 14, 2012. The deadline to have packets and verifications completed and turned into our office is Monday, October 8, 2012 at 4:00 p.m.

can I fax in my application?
Donna, you may fax in your completed application, as long as you mail the original as well. We will need readable copies of the Social Security Cards for every member of the household listed on the application in order for your application to be complete.

I am a victim of domestic abuse, will that put me on a priority list and if so how long is the wait for that? I live here in Hawaii now so can I be on a waiting list since I haven’t moved there yet?
Donna, if you want to live in Provo, it might be faster for you to apply for housing at your local housing authority and then when you are eligible to transfer, port your voucher to the Provo City Housing Authority. Both of our waiting lists have a current Provo resident priority. This means that for the Housing Choice Voucher waiting list, non-Provo residents will never reach the top of the list. Our only program that gives victims of domestic abuse any priority over another equally qualified applicant requires a referral letter from our local woman’s shelter.
